'Landscape & Local Story'

The Stølsheimen Mountains 📍 form a wild and remote highland area in Vestland County, Norway, stretching between the Sognefjord to the north and the Voss region to the south. Known for their rolling plateaus, deep valleys, and countless lakes, the area is dotted with old summer farmsteads (støler), from which it takes its name. In winter, snow transforms the terrain into a vast, pristine expanse, popular with backcountry skiers and seasoned hikers seeking solitude.
