Gjógv 📍, a picturesque village on the northeast tip of Eysturoy, is one of the Faroe Islands’ most charming settlements. Its name means gorge in Faroese, referring to the stunning natural sea-filled gorge that cuts into the coastline and serves as a sheltered harbor. Colorful turf-roofed houses line the slopes above, with sweeping views of mountains, ocean, and, on clear days, even the distant island of Kalsoy.
