'Landscape & Local Story'

Tvøroyri 📍, lying along the shores of Trongisvágsfjørður on the island of Suðuroy, is one of the main settlements in the southern Faroes. Established in 1836 as a trading station for the Danish Royal Monopoly, it quickly became an important center for fishing and commerce. Tvøroyri balances its historic roots with a welcoming, modern island atmosphere.

More recently, the town has become a cultural hub of Suðuroy, with art exhibitions and concerts breathing new life into its historic wooden buildings. In Tvøroyri, history, tradition, and creativity flow together, making it a lively gateway to the southernmost part of the Faroe Islands...'
