Múli 📍, on the northeast tip of Borðoy, is one of the most remote and isolated settlements in the Faroe Islands. Nestled between steep mountains and the open sea, the tiny village is reached only by a narrow coastal road, and until 1989 it had no road access at all. Once a thriving farming community, Múli has since been abandoned as a permanent settlement, though its turf-roofed houses and stone walls remain, surrounded by windswept fields and seabird cries. The sense of solitude here is profound, making Múli feel like a step back in time, a place where nature has reclaimed the silence.

'...Legends linger around Múli’s remote setting. The village was long believed to be haunted, with stories of hidden people (huldufólk) and restless spirits moving among the rocks. Locals once warned travelers not to disturb the stones or stay overnight, for fear of being led astray by supernatural forces.
